Pocket Weather AU 2.0.1 iPhone and iPod touch

If you have relatives in Australia, or your an expat, then you should know that there's only one reliable source for Australian Weather -> the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM). Your built in iPhone Weather App doesn't use this source, which is why Pocket Weather AU exists. We only have Australian Weather, but really, it's the best in the world, so what more do you need?

- Forecast & observation data for hundreds of areas around Australia. Select it via GPS, Map or list.
- Push current temp, text forecasts and warnings to your iPhone (NEW in 2.0)
- Tide graphs for hundreds of locations around Australia
- Animated weather icons
- Sunrise/sunset times
- All of the BOM rain and wind doppler radars with Find/Track me function as well as the ability to have it auto update (Live Radar in settings, NEW in 2.0)
- National rain & cloud radars & Synoptic chart
- Extended forecasts for regional areas
- Give your locations custom names (NEW in 2.0)
- Shake to skin, simply shake your phone to switch between four different skins
- Realtime UV support for some locations (NEW in 2.0)
- Last update is always cached, so you don't need a network connection to check the weather for the week, once you've got it once.
- Updates are tiny (less than 10kb) so you don't have to worry about your iPhone data cap.
- Supports landscape and portrait view, and in landscape you get all the information on a single page.

This app is delivered fresh to your door, from three blokes in Adelaide. We do this in our spare time, and are committed to deliver the best features and support to all of you. We love hearing from you, and often implement ideas that we receive from you guys.

Email us at [email protected] with any queries you may have.

All our updates are free to users who have paid for our app :)

While we have explicit permission from the BOM to use and repackage all of their data, this app is not published, or maintained by the BOM, so please send your queries, suggestions and problems to us, and not them. New in this version v2.0.1
Fix for people having connection issues with the new version

**Radar Changes:**
- Live Radar (if turned on this keeps your radar up to date automatically)
- Find/Track Me on the radar screen
- Pick radars in any state (previously you could only pick the ones in the state your location was in)
- New Terrey Hills Sydney Radar
- New Radar infrastructure that allows us to roll out new radars to our users without an application update

**Add/Edit Location Changes**
- Totally revamped add location interface, showing information like what observations a given station supports and doesn?t support (eg: wind, current temp, real-time UV, etc)
- Find nearest location function revised to give you the 20 closest locations and letting you choose the best. It?s now faster as well, because it no longer has to contact our server.
- Pick locations from a map. For those of you out there that are more spatially minded.
- Pick from just the capital cities (for the city slickers out there)
- Ability to give your locations custom names, so you could have ?Home? instead of ?Adelaide Airport?
- Of course you can still see all the locations in a given state, so don?t worry BOM boffins, that function is still there
- Location information is now cached on your device, so it?s a lot more data cap friendly

- Application Badge Push support for current/forecast temperature
- Test push support for warnings and forecasts

- Tweaks to all of the skins, including skinning of the location list screen
- 3 new icons for heavy rain, fog and wind.
- Realtime UV support for some locations
- Radar updates improved to always get the most recent radars
- Option to disable rotation (eg: portrait only mode)
- Option to disable load on startup (useful for iPod touches)
- Many more bug fixes and server tweaks
