Installation Instructions:

Download and install the .apk
Download the Base Files(need not download if you're upgrading from v11.2.5) and desired Maps
Extract/unrar and copy the file 'Aura' (the base files) into the path /sdcard/
Extract/unrar the Maps (the resulting folder should read something like 'xxx.yy.2013.01')
Copy that into the path /sdcard/aura/maps/
If you would like to place the files in your external memory, follow these paths: /sdcard/external_sd/ and /sdcard/external_sd/aura/maps/
Only for the FIRST time: Launch 'Sygic Downloader' that gets installed along with the app. You might have to download a small amount of data (~30 MB) for the first time. It verifies and should show 100% against the maps you have installed.
Close downloader and launch the app.
Please do not attempt to 'Activate' the product. Your app will go back to trial version if you do so.
OPTIONAL: You may use an email and password to log-in to Sygic when it prompts. You will get access to additional features like weather, etc. without affecting the app.

If you find Greek interface, and if you don't know the language, here's the instructions:

Select the Options Button.

Select the 6th option(PuOmioec - this is the closest in english to the greek word).

Select the 5th option(Tottikoc - this is the closest in english to the greek word).

Select the first (Eyynvika) Item, then select the version of English you need.

Press '<-Back' all the way back to the main program.

When you install the apk and launch it, it will verify the files, and if needed, it will download between a few kB to a few MB. That is how you will know if the files are updated.

Is there any way to enter a UK postcode into this app?

It was easy in the older v10 but all I seem to get in this is the option to enter the street address.

Forget what I said as I must have had my brain switched off as it's clear that you enter either the address or the postcode in the text box.

Downloaded a bit different for me than explained above. It insisted on downloading around a 160 meg and seemed to get stuck on downloading or deleting the map.

After trying a couple of times to see if it did any different I realised that when it finished downloading then got stuck on the map all I needed to do was end the downloader. The program runs fine though I did delete all the extra languages it initially insisted on downloading.

All in all a great useful program and thanks for posting it.

If you find Greek interface, and if you don't know the language, here's the instructions:


Select the Options Button.

Select the 6th option(PuOmioec - this is the closest in english to the greek word).

Select the 5th option(Tottikoc - this is the closest in english to the greek word).

Select the first (Eyynvika) Item, then select the version of English you need.

Press '<-Back' all the way back to the main program.

Restarted my phone, open up the sygic downloader, and the map that I downloaded wont show up. Anybody know why?

I downloaded from sygic downloader to test out a map and it works fine but if I tried dling from one of those links from OPs post and pasted in my SD card the speific map wont show up...

When you update, just install the apk and lauch the app. If it asks you to download huge data, download from these links. If its just a few kb/MB, you may do so over 3g/WiFi.

It showing only 68% for czech map and 97% for latvian map. I have no other maps. Is it OK???

You can download them from the sites after 'waiting time' for free. If you can download large amounts of data via your data plan without having to pay much, you can do so. And, no, this app doesn't need 'root access'. Have fun navigating!

That means there are no map updates. They release updated maps, if any, in newer versions. v12.1 is on its way. Some countries will have and others may not have map updates.

the solution is is to download new Android based maps 2013.?? , change the date back to XX.XX 2011.09 and copy them to the (symbian based) dir auramaps. and voila new maps for the symbian based devices

If it ain't 100%, it ain't complete. Click on the maps that are less than 100% until they turn green, and move to the next tab in the downloader. You will see how much needs to be downloaded to complete. Click continue.

With 'stuck' I mean they don't become green (anymore), just red :( Would you recommend to delete all of the maps and start over?
Btw, in that case, can I use this same app to download from scratch? Because if I saw correctly via wifi it's faster than using the download links posted here, which also let you wait a lot before dowloading and have limited simultaneous connection possibilities.

Well, thats pretty weird. You can delete the maps, copy them back and try again. If that fails, you can still use the app to download, and yes, it has limitations, like server overload, errors, slow speed, etc.

Yes, indeed! Also that one map shows as 102%... Anyways, I already tried copying them again last week and that didn't help, so I guess I will start downloading them again from scratch. Just to be safe, when I hit the road this weekend ;) Thanks for your help, mate!

All the maps are 100% now, however, I had to delete them via the app, not via file manager, before downloading anew :)
Now the final question is: Are these maps up-to-date, or are the maps posted here in fact more actual?
