Nokia doesn't like freedom. They especially hate your freedom to control your own phone. That's why they made firmware updates that kill the Symbian hacks to take control of your phone away from you.
Some Symbian phones can be fully hacked with the HelloOX and HelloCarbide methods (which means that you can switch off the capability restrictions completely for all programs), others can be partially hacked with the HelloOX method. Your hacking options depend on your phone model and firmware version.
