Help needed, unlocking iphone 3gs

hi friends,
i have tried all ways to unlock this phone but failed..
details of the phone are like :
- model : Iphone 3GS
- untethered jailbreak using latest version of redsnow.
-serial no : xx943xxxxxx
-baseband : 6.15.00
-OS : iOS 5.0.1
i tried using ultrasnow 1.25 ; however the phone failed to detect the network, also i noticed that the phone frequently hanged and rebooted after the installation.

can anybody please guide me or show me some way to unlock this phone so that it can be used with any carrier.

There is a solution available for all those on 6.15 baseband or on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 to unlock their devices. There is no word on when the iPhone Dev team will update the official ultarsn0w, so a work out has been developed.

Its called Ulatrasn0w Fixer and its available on Cydia. This tool can unlock your device running iOS 5.0.1. It has a limited baseband support; so don’t confuse it with the official or a universal unlocker for all basebands and devices. It is just for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, baseband 6.15.00 running iOS 5.0.1.

How to Unlock iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 3GS, 4, baseband 6.15.00

Use Sn0wbreeze or Redsn0w to preserve your baseband and update to iOS 5.0.1. If you are already on iOS 5.0.1, skip this step.
Open Cydia > Manage > Source > Edit > Add and tap in this “http://cydia.myrepospace.com/smolk/
Wait for the source to install, once installed, navigate to this source and find the tools in this repo. You can also use Cydia’s Search option and look for “Ultrasn0w Fixer”. Install the package for your device and wait for a reboot.
After the reboot you’ll be able to connect to your carrier. That’s pretty much it, this is just temporary fix, I suggest to look for the official Ultrasn0w update and use that to replace this temporary fix.
