ZTE N762... Unleash the beast!!!!

Rooting the N762 from Public Mobile is old news... Now lets really get into it. The n760 is a sister phone available in china. Alot of roms are available for this phone and finding a way to get the 3g working on them is the goal.
ICS is avilable for that phone as well so there are a few projects we can get into here. There is already a few roms made for the N762 made by myself and LeMyster. Here you will find the custom needs for your phone.

First off... Root:

1st: This is the update to the N762. Update your phone to the latest sofware.

Put the image folder in the root of your sd card. turn off phone and push pwr+volup+home all at the same time.

2nd: This is clockwork easy v2. It will give your phone a much more advanced recovery.

1- Download the link above.
2- extract android sdk folder to c:\. And take the recovery.img file out of the folder and also put it in c:\.
3- open a command prompt (open with admin if using win
vista/7)
4- navigate to your android sdk folder
5- put your phone in android bootloader interface by turning it on
and IMMEDIATELY PRESSING VOLUME DOWN AND MENU
TOGETHER UNTIL PHONE LOOKS FROZEN.
6- plug your phone into your pc, driver can be found in the
android sdk folder
7- in your command prompt enter: fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img (do this twice, for some reason it needs
to be done twice to stick)
8- type fastboot reboot
9- now when you turn your phone on in recovery ( turn on while
pressin volume up and menu) you will get the clockworkmod
recovery.

To go into clockwork recovery, turn off phone then press volup+menu a millisecond after pressing pwr

The superuser installer brought to you by Bluntman420 over at xda. Put this
file in your sd card and install it with clockworkmod using the
install zip from sd option. Done!

Voltron rev4:

This rom is based on the stock rom except for the fact that its rooted and the system apps that shouldn't be system apps like facebook, twitter, the stupid pm app, etc have been removed because when they update the one in the system stays there and takes up room for no reason so i put them back in but as apps that are in the data folder instead so that when updates come along they get overwritten... some useful apps have been added and i changed the launcher to adw because of its extreme customization possibilities... theres a spare parts app i added witch is very useful and also setcpu ... it runs smoother all around..
Oh ya i forgot to mention that voltron rev4 has flash player installed... flash player doesn't support phones with a arm 6 processor like the n762 but i found a altered version that works 75 percent of the time... it makes a more complete browsing experience...

nice !!! jva essayer ton clockwork easy dans 10 ou 15 minute jetais sur N760-4.0-HJY-ROM jai reussi a booté mais avec pein de morceau du 762 ...phone sms contact ..pi kan jme sert du script ki vien avec i veut po set les permission comme i fo pi su fait po sa job scomme si yétais po rooter avec le script du voltron sa va ben .... pi ben sa po lair detre le vrai android 4 !!! c pluto genre 2.3.7 jpence mais cé meme po honeycomb !!! jtenvoi un lien dans po long la jessaye ki boot en francais o moin ll sa boot en chinois mais jpeut aller changer la langue mais o 1er boot c en chinesss !!!

My friend LeMyster is french however I will gladly translate for him any posts that need to be.
In his first post he mentioned that he was able to boot the "ICS" rom I found in china wich actually turned out to be GB... and that he made a custom rom from it that is not complete yet but is something to try.

In his second post he confirmed to me that the new clockwork easy installer I made for B08 did not Kill his phone, However did not successfully install clockworkmod recovery in a way that it could be used because of a glitch it creates in the boot image.

The internet is a wounderful place for everyone to share ideas regardless of location or language. I will gladly translate any further posts on request. Thank you

if you try the clockworkeasy B08 on your B08......installl this zip in clockworkmod

...after boot the phone....reboot bootloader ..reflash recovery with android sdk adb fastboot or clockwork easy for B06 in download mode (if your phone want).... reboot recovery and install your rom !!!

ya that will work:
install this rom using clockwork recovery.
then you will have a non fuctional rom and a stock recovery... however this rom will fix the partition bug.
then you use the command prompt in win using the fastboot method to flash clockwork recovery...
then you can install voltron rev 4 using clockwork recovery and everything will be back to normal

yeah sorry!! .....I know I juste realize something fucked up !!!! no matter you have b06 or b08...... if you have probleme with the touch screen just remplace the boot.img by this one before flashing the rom !!!
you can also (if you want to keep your instalation!) restore a boot.img from your old back up in backup & restore , advenced restore ..
or you can flash the boot.img with fastboot if you dont have a back up
put the android sdk folder & the boot.img on your c:\ drive and type in a command prompt:

cd c:\android sdk (enter)
fastboot flash boot c:\boot.img (enter)
fastboot reboot (enter)
