808 Pureview and phone memory

Hi guys. The 808 is a great phone but I'd love to know what i can get rid of in the phone memory to give me more space. At the moment I have 385 of 613mb free so I'd like to know if anyone knows how to expand that,apart from deleting SMS, email etc.

wy? i've got 326mb, and works fine (until 100mb everything wil work)
but sms and emails wil drain your phone memory, so delete what u don't need and try not to install to manny things because even if you delete it, it wil alway's pull down your memory a little bit.
after two month's you'll know what you need, then the best thing is, do a hardreset and put back what u need.

Thanks SuperG but Iwould still like to be able to get rid of stuff I don't need on there. In other "hacked" forms of Belle they've been "slimmed down" to allow more memory access on the N8 and it worked beautifully. There must be a way of moving essential files to the mass memory as I could on the N8

ok, you can move some map files to rom.

remove pre installed apps like communicator and other apps using uda cleaner

move the browser cache location to e drive

remove preinstalled images and also remove the nfc tutorial videos

remove fota cache.....

there are to be used if you are preparing your own fw. Google them if you want more details

becareful if you don't know about rom cooking then dont try.

No I wouldn't dare. Other phones I've owned in the past have had software which allows you to move key directoris and files to internal storage rather than tying up OS ram. I don;t know of anything on Symbian that does that. Thanks for your advice

yes you need to spend some time to learn about cooking your fw and you'll brick and panic in start but eventually you'll get there. Thats what happened with me as well....sorry to say but this website is good for app n games download. Nothing much related to fw cooking.
