Nokia Image Exchange Lite J2ME from Nokia Beta Labs for S40

I've [ravish_919] just found this update & so thought of making this thread....got this info from http://imageexchange.nokia.com/

Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental imaging service to make browsing and sharing images fun and easy. It aims to provide a seamless integration of a mobile image gallery application and a corresponding web-service. Nokia Image Exchange explores the possibilities of the mobile phone when it is enabled with always-on data connection and utilizes existing contact information as a basis for social networking.

Nokia Image Exchange Lite for S40 brings image back-ups and sharing to a larger variety of devices and makes it simple to transfer your images to be viewed on a PC. Unlike the S60 version, it is not meant as a gallery application.

Similarly as with the S60 version, Nokia Image Exchange Lite also allows you to share and publish your images as well as follow the images that your friends have shared to you.

Nokia Image Exchange Lite is a Java client that can be installed to a wider set of phone models than Nokia Image Exchange for S60. It offers a functionality for image sharing including selective uploading of images, publishing and sharing photos to friends and viewing photos that are shared to you. The Lite version is not mainly an imaging browser like Nokia Image Exchange for S60.

Nokia Image Exchange Lite relies on data connections to transfer your images to server and to receive images shared to you. However, it does not upload images automatically and is thus more suitable to be used without a flat-fee data plan or WiFi than S60 version.

Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental imaging service for Nokia mobile phones aiming to be as convenient and effortless to use as possible. Images are made easily available on the Web site, where the photos can be browsed and downloaded.
