N97 mini WLAN problem

Straight to the point!
I have a N97 mini that I bought 5 days ago and I'm having this problem that I can not connect to my WLAN at home, I have a program named IPCOP that not allows any PC to connect to our internet until the IP address is registered. I have been looking all over the internet without a single solution. I even create a new IP address for my phone in my IP cop system and inserted the MAC address in my system as well. The phone detects the WLAN connection but shows a message that says "user name not valid (or something like this)" can anyone tell me how to configure this phone? One more thing! my IP cop system does not required password, only to authorized the IP address in a list (as a mention before)

have you set the ip address on the phone? you can do this through the Access point advanced settings
on N95 it's
menu>settings>connection>access points>(select the access point you've set up)>options>edit>options>advanced settings>IPv4 settings>Phone IP address

or disable your IP cop program.
Easier just to set a wep key on the router.

Thank you for your answer Daniel, I will try to disable the program, but in reference to IPv4 sttiengs I must say that the configuration is not the same as your phone, I looked everywhere within the phone but the configuration is really different from regular mobiles.
