Here is a Standalone version of Skype its working on N97 but only chat there is no video.....post your results how it works in your network!!!.

I have the 3 version on my phone at the moment that only connects to 3. Does this version allow you to connect via wifi aswell?

Just give this a try, all is good so far and it lets me use wifi to connect

Slight problem with this on N97, I can't seem to set a ringtone for it. I tried to access the settings but it takes me to the main contacts page.

Wait on a better version . Fring does well with Skype.
