Thanks,
Just an FYI for anyone considering trying this on a Nokia E71x...you may want to wait. I installed 3.4.23, only to find that the E71x keyboard isn't supported in this earlier version, either. I was able to type in some letters - but not corresponding to the letters I pressed, however. So, I was able to activate the maps, but not able to type in addresses to navigate.
This looks to have the potential to be a great piece of GPS software...just not for me, yet.
Thanks to Undercode, and to all those who helped.

thanks a lot works like charm on n97 and much more accurate than Garmin.
Yep, drove around today and it really works, actually very well indeed. Big thanks to OP for sharing.
Speed cam locations downloadable somewhere?
EDIT:
I'm glad that I get to answer my own question.
1. If you want speed cam locations to your NDrive, go to http://www.gps-waypoints.net/gps/ and select from the list (Traffic related -> Speedcamera), select your country, and CSV with header as the file format and download.
2. Extract the file to NDrive\speedcams.
3. Run NDrive, go to Menu -> Settings -> Data Import/Export. Select Import Alerts. You should see the extracted file there, click it and let it import the file.
4. You're ready to go driving with newly imported speed cams locations![]()
