How To Install Application & Games On Android Devices

Here is a step by step guide on installing games

1. Download the games you can install it by using this type of software http://www.mobilephonetalk.com/showt...ller-Tool-v1-5 or
2. Transfer it to your phone and place in a folder you will remember placing it in on your SD Card (Skip this step if using you Android to download).
3. Go to the Market (on your Android) and search for Astro or file manager.
4. Download Astro or any free File Manager.
5. Once installed open it.
6. Go to the folder you put the application in (if you downloaded from you Android it will be the folder call "download" or "downloads").
7. Click the app once (a Pop Up should appear) and choose open app manager (or words to that effect).
8. Click install once (you may get a Pop Up saying its blocked from installing just go to the settings/application and check the "Unknown Applications").
If you get a file with the app name and a extension that's like app name here.txt just rename it to app name here.apk and do steps 7 and 8.
9. Some games need additional data like obb or sd data after downloading it place in correct position.
10. if you find sd data individually like powerVR, Adreno, tegra, mali find your phone correct gpu by google search download it..

Is it possible to install the software/games on the sdcard ?
I don´t have any more space left on my phone.

By the way, it´s a Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5800L).

Another way is using Awesome Drop, especially for small files. You drag the apk to the website, open the (free) client on your phone, you can install from there and even delete the apk directly from the phone program without a file manager.

Using Android SDK:

Copy the apk to \android-sdk\platform-tools\
shift right click anywhere in the folder platform-tools
select open command window here and connect your phone to pc having Usb debugging on
type "adb install -s name.apk" this will install the apk to your sdcard else you write "adb install name.apk" to install it to your phone.

thanks but i need to ask what about ...DEX file, ARCS and XML, i have downloaded some of application when i unrar i found these types of extension ... how can i install such files in my SGS II .... Thanks ..

Or use Android Injector to put astro (or any other installer found on this forum) on your phone.

If you have a Xperia x10 mini use Xperia FlashTool to do the same as for some reason injector doesn't work on this phone.
