Please brother's explain about developer certificate & key..?

I am new to this.Please explain me wat is the use of certificate and key.After getting this how i use/install.How can i install unsigned or signed software?Most of them showing error .............

there are two type of sis files signed and unsigned. signed means it will install without problem in your mobile. other file call unsigned unsigned file need to be singed by your won developer certificate which contain your imei. for sign u have to use signer..
