hi any patch for 6120c?
is there any patch for 5233 or 5230 camera quality ?
is there any chance Nokia X6 secondary camera could have 640x480 size? it's kinda silly since, my n70 has a better camera quality. >_<
i tried to change the 320x240 to 640x480 but it didnt work and it just shutdown the camera. Is there any tweak to make it work? thanks!

anything for satio?
.
I highly doubt anyone could see the difference between 85% of quality compression and 100%. Just try yourself, save a img from the web, open it and save it at 85% and tell me if you notice any difference with the original.
This will just increase size, like decompressing a file. Not really worth it.
(still thanks, but this is mostly psychologist)
If this aint workin, den y all d guys here r wastin tym?
N will it work for 5233? its got 2MP cam but wid no flash...
Plz reply ASAP.

Sorry Guys, No offense! I AM NEW HERE...!!!
I don't think the patch will work. However, instructions to do the change manually were posted on page 4 of this thread. I just performed the "adjustment" manually on my 5230. You should also be able to use this on a 5233 since the 5233 is a stripped down (no 3G or GPS) 5230. The file size of the pictures has increased, even when I have the camera set to low to take pics for a MMS message. It's only a very slight increase in size though. It's also a very tiny increase in image quality but, there is an increase in quality when it comes to text. I would post the pictures but, they are of an invitation and marking out all the sensitive data would render them useless. Just keep in mind that this mod is not going to suddenly make your camera super awesome on the Nokia 5230. You will get a slight bump in quality but, it's not going to be anything like the other cameras are getting since their file sizes are increasing by an average of 100kb vs the 2-4kb increase the Nokia 5230 is getting. It's better than nothing though.
Camera set to high:
with the "adjustment" was 88kb (1600x1200)
without the "adjustment" it was 84kb (1600x1200)
Camera set to low:
with the "adjustment" was 17kb (640x480)
without the "adjustment" it was 19kb (640x480)
It was a major PITA to alter the txt file though. Even after copying it from the "Z:" drive to the "C:" drive, the txt file was still protected from being written to. I tried copying it to the "E:" (memory card drive) but, it was still a read-only file there as well. Here is what I had to do to alter the txt file. The number of steps below makes this look more complicated than it is. I just wanted to make the process as clear as possible though so that no one gets confused if they try to follow it. You will notice that this "guide" starts out by quoting part of the instructions Randomknock posted on page 4. What you might not notice is that the rest of the steps he posted, are mixed into the steps after the quote ends. All in all I would say half of the steps are a result of his post on page 4 and without the information he provided, I wouldn't even be making this post to try and help out the other Nokia 5230 users. I have made some slight changes in the quote and, those changes will be in a bold font.
