it's just too bad that whatsapp can't be turned off...it keeps using my wifi (at home) and 3g (outside)

I agree with you... WhatsApp is a virus!
Even if you kill it, it still comes back.
No offline mode.

I removed it and will only put it back once I can control what it does.
